Dual Citizens with a British or Irish Passport
If you hold both a Malaysian passport and a British or Irish passport, you do not need a UK ETA at all. When travelling on your British or Irish passport, you enter the UK as a citizen, not as a visitor.

If you already have a valid UK Standard Visitor Visa, you do not need a UK ETA. Your visa covers your entry. Applying for an ETA on top of an existing visa is unnecessary and just costs you extra money.
